How to Use
WINSEAL Premium Glossy Clear Protective Coating
How to Use
Surface Preparation:
- Ensure the surface is clean, dry, dust-free and grease-free before application.
- Remove any existing efflorescence, dirt or residues with appropriate cleaners (e.g., efflorescence remover, fungus and mold remover or a hard surface limescale cleaner).
- Allow the surface to dry completely before treatment.
Application Steps
- Shake the product container well before use.
- For most applications, dilute Winseal Premium Clear Protective Coating with up to 30% potable water. Mix it well to achieve a homogenous or uniform consistency.
- Apply Winseal premium clear glossy sealer evenly using a brush, roller, or low-pressure sprayer.
- Work in manageable sections to avoid overlaps and ensure uniform sheen. Apply an even, continuous coat without excessive rolling pressure in one direction.
- Immediately after application while the coating is wet, use a clean, dry, lint-free roller (for de-aeration) to lightly pass over the freshly applied coating.
- Roll in one direction only, using very light pressure.
- Roll in one direction only, using very light pressure.
- This step allows entrapped air bubbles or foam to break naturally and helps the coating settle evenly on the surface.
- Do not reload the second roller with material.
- Wipe off excess material from the surface while the coating on the surface is wet using the second roller.
- Allow the coating to dry for a period of 3 to 4 hours.
- Apply a second light coat in a perpendicular direction. While application,
- Allow the surface to dry and cure fully for 48 hours before use.
Pro Tip:
- Always use two separate rollers: one for application, one exclusively for de-aeration.
- Avoid high-speed rolling or excessive back-and-forth movements.
- Do not apply in very hot, windy or highly humid conditions.
- Conduct a small trial application to familiarise with surface behaviour.
Application Details
Coverage:
Low Porosity: Kadappa, Granite - 7 to 12 m2 per Ltr in 2 coats
High Porosity: Brick, Concrete - 4 to 7 m2 per Ltr in 2 coats
(Actual coverage depends on substrate porosity and surface texture.)
Recommended Application Tools
- Soft bristle paint brush – edges and tight areas
- Short nap roller/Mohair roller – flat surfaces
- Low-pressure sprayer – even wetting
- Lint-free cloth – remove excess where necessary
Important Tips:
- Apply in temperatures between ~10–35°C
- Avoid application in direct rain or extremely humid conditions until cured
- Do not over-apply — a uniform thin film achieves the best look
How to Use
Winseal Stain and Water Repellant Look Enhancer
- Apply Winseal Stain and water wet look enhancer as supplied with no dilution unless specified otherwise by technical guidelines.
- Use a soft brush, lint-free cloth, sponge or low-pressure sprayer to saturate the surface evenly.
- Allow the product to penetrate naturally into the substrate pores
- After 10–20 minutes, wipe any excess from the surface with a clean, dry cloth to prevent uneven enhancement.
- On very absorbent surfaces, a second light application may be applied after the first has penetrated.
- The coating shall dry in 2 to 3 hours (Drying speeds vary with temperature, humidity and substrate porosity) and allow full curing for up to 24 hours.
Pro Tip: A small test patch is recommended on each surface type before full application to confirm desired visual enhancement and penetration.
Application Details
Coverage: 8 to 15 m²/litre
(Actual coverage depends on substrate porosity and surface texture.)
Recommended Application Tools
- Soft bristle paint brush – edges and tight areas
- Short nap roller/Mohair roller – flat surfaces
- Low-pressure sprayer – even wetting
- Lint-free cloth – remove excess where necessary
Winseal Water repellent Wet look Enhancer does not create a surface film; instead, it chemically bonds within pores, preserving vapour permeability and reducing cracking, peeling or blistering common to surface films.
